Update on Efforts to Help Carmel Dog Fighting Cancer
Central Coast News has been following the dog Takota's journey battling cancer. His owner, Rosa Brittain, says she needs help raising enough money to pay for his vet bills to keep him alive.
Local nonprofit Magic Bullet decided to step in and help pay for Takota's medical bills.
Now, we are learning more about the fundraising efforts to help keep Takota alive. As of Saturday afternoon the organization had raised more than $2,000 in donations for the dog. His owner says they still need about $900 to pay for everything.
The fundraising efforts have been extended to a week from Monday and anyone interested in donating can go to themagicbullet.org for more information.
