Six-alarm fire consumes San Francisco neighborhood

A building that was under construction near AT&T Park in San Francisco went up in flames Tuesday night.
This fire was upgraded to a six-alarm fire in the Mission bay neighborhood and consumed a $227 million apartment complex, that wasn't yet completed on Fourth and Basin streets just before 5 p.m.
According to fire crews, the fire started to move down the block, but is mostly contained at this time. Since the building was under construction, there weren't any sprinklers systems installed, making it harder to contain.
Although the fire is contained, that doesn't mean it's safe. Fire crews estimate the fire could burn for days before being completely burnt out.
As of 10 p.m., the only injury to report is a light burn to one firefighter. 30 people living in the area are receiving help from the Red Cross after smoke damage drove them from their homes.
