A link to a porn website appeared on live TV during a smartphone app demonstration.

A group of students in Chicago went on WGN-TV to demonstrate an app they created that helps users remove their juvenile records from the all the places where they might be posted, if state laws allows it. The goal of the app is to "educate young detainees and parents" and help them understand the process or expunging criminal records.

As one student described the app for viewers during the live segment, she attempted to demonstrate how the app worked on a phone. As she began to bring up the app, a tight shot of the screen revealed a bookmark to a video on porn website PornHub.com, CNET reports.

It is unclear whose phone was being used in the demonstration, but station news director Greg Caputo told AOL Jobs that the phone did not belong to any of the people interviewed or to anyone from WGN.

The station has now removed the footage, but not before several sites reported on the slip-up.
