MONTEREY, Calif. -

The Monterey Bay Sanctuary Foundation, along with Resources Legacy Fund,  has announced the winners of the "My Marine Park!" video contest.

Youth and adult entrants were challenged to create a short video about why they love "their" marine park. Enthusiasts from Marine Protected Areas throughout the state were invited to participate.

The Monterey Bay made a great showing in the contest -- with videos shot in the Monterey Bay Sanctuary taking the top three spots in the adult category and two of four top slots in the youth contest.

Patrick Webster created the winning video in the adult category, which features Edward F. Ricketts State Marine Conservation Area, Pacific Grove Marine Gardens State Marine Conservation Area, Point Lobos State Marine Reserve, Carmel Pinnacles State Marine Reserve, and Big Creek State Marine Reserve.

Chris Garcia's first-place entry in the youth category features Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz County. To see all of the winning videos, click here.
