Officers from several agencies were in Hollister Friday morning helping to serve search warrants on the city. Officers made three arrests and recovered multiple guns and drugs.

On Friday January 24, 2014, at about 7:30 am, police from several jurisdictions assisted Hollister Police in the execution of two search warrants. Multiple guns and drugs were recovered in the searches.
Officers from the Hollister Police Department have been conducting an investigation stemming from the arrest of two individuals for gun charges on
December 30, 2013. (Press Release #13-098) The investigation led officers to two
homes in Hollister. Hollister Police Officers were able to obtain a search warrant
for a home on the 1200 block of Mariposa Court and a mobile home in the Mission
Oaks Trailer Park.
On today’s date, members from the UNET task force, San Benito County Probation
Department, Gilroy Police ACT Team and the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office
assisted the Hollister Police Department in the execution of the two search warrants.
A total of 9 firearms were located at the home in the Mission Oaks Trailer Park.
Fernando Ruiz Gonzalez (55) was arrested and transported to the San Benito County Jail.
He was booked for possession of illegal/restricted firearm.
Ammunition, narcotics and evidence to suggest drug sales were seized at the home on Mariposa Court. Pedro Estrada Prado (41) and Daniel Prado Gonzalez (21) were
arrested at that home and transported to the San Benito County Jail. Pedro Prado
was booked for possession of marijuana for sales and probation violation. Daniel was booked for possession of marijuana for sale.
