SANTA CRUZ, Calif. -

The Santa Cruz Public Health Department says it suspects there have been two deaths that are related to the flu.  They also said can't confirm the flu as the cause just yet because test results from the state aren't back yet.

Four more people are also suspected of having a serious case of the flu. A Serious case is defined as being diagnosed with the flu and being hospitalized in an ICU or having died.

All of these people aren't in the normal high-risk groups, typically two or younger or 65 or older.  The two who died are under 50 and the other four are under 65, but they still aren't able to verify if the flu is the main cause to those deaths.
