Central Coast News at KIONRightNow.com is very comprehensive website and getting your news here will keep you up to date. But Jane emailed me and asked, “Dear Jon, how do I find a story on your website? It doesn't show up in the local news section.” If you’re on this website you may have never used the “search” box at the top right.

The “search” box is a very simple and easy way to search for a story. In Jane’s case, she watched a story on KION News at 5 pm. She wanted more information on the organization in the story and wanted to read the story, but all she knew was the word “starfish” from the story.

To use the “search” box all you need to know is a specific word or phrase that you’d like to search on. If you know the story has the word “starfish” in the script, type that into the “search” box and hit “enter.” Every story that has the word “starfish” will come up on the “results” page. Give it a try.

If you want to find “Dear Jon” stories, you can type “Dear Jon” in the “search” box and hit "enter." All the “Dear Jon” stories on our website will appear on the “results” page.

It's not a difficult process, just type in any word that you can remember from the story and hit “enter.”

If you have a question for me, email at the link above or message me on Facebook at “Jon K Brent KIONKCOY” or on Twitter at “DearJonKBrent.”
