MARINA, Calif. -

A body found in Marina on Abrams Road and Imjin Parkway Saturday morning was confirmed by police to be 29-year-old Carie Leetch, a woman who has been missing for more than a week now.

Her body was found not far from where she lived and was discovered by one of the several search parties looking for her that morning.

Police say it appears Leetch was walking barefoot and wandered off on a trail. Her body was found 50 feet off the path in the brush.

''At this point we don't think foul play was involved, we are doing a crime scene investigation to rule that out, but it appears at this point that its an accidental death," said Commander Bob Nolan of the Marina Police Department.

Police also say  she was found in the same area someone reportedly spotted her the week before.

They're still trying to determine if drugs or alcohol played a role in her disappearance.

Leetch leaves behind a husband and 10-year-old daughter.
